anyway, my older sister was adopted when she was almost 16 (kinda on accident too), and because of that she got away from an abusive household, went from barely passing classes to being an honour student, and launching into a career where she’s happy and healthy and paying her own way. just two years of parenting where she had 3 meals a day, a bedtime, and parents to help and protect her changed her life radically. I had to deal with some really bad wildfire smoke in my region last summer. So bad they closed the national parks. (which is rare here) (Side note, my brother wanted to go freaking HIKING in it…like HONEY, that’s how you die.) and it wasn’t as bad as what I’m seeing w/ Cali. So stay safe and protect your lungs.
some fun facts about this: the black cat started trying to get in right at the same time that the museum was hosting an exhibition of Mitsuaki Iwago’s photography of cats, and after the photos of this started circulating, the museum started to sell merchandise based on the cat trying to get in:
