Cats: The only beings that can get away with being creepy because of his cute they are.
Doesn’t matter how hot the guy, stalking, staring, invading space is creepy.
Cats? It’s adorable. :-p

Also small. It works if you weigh less than about 20 lbs. If a cougar, lion, tiger, leopard, or jaguar was staring at you creepily, invading your personal space, stalking you, you’d be very uncomfortable and justifiably so. Cats are not just cute, they’re cat-sized, and as such the damage they can do is highly limited.
Things a cat has done to me that I would not be so forgiving of a human doing to me:
– Crawled into my bed and deliberately peed on me because he was unhappy with the current state of his bathroom
– Refused to speak to me for days because I went on a work trip without him
– Howled to be fed and then, upon being fed, howled that the food was the wrong brand
– Slapped me across the face hard enough to leave a lasting mark because I attempted to get him to see the doctor
– Wandered into the bathroom while I was having a soak and started drinking my bathwater
